: For those here that know me I wear my heart on my sleeve.....so pardon me while I air my laundry here. I usually shy away from these posts but I want some of the recent bashing to STOP! : I want those of you out there.....to see folks like me (although Im not speaking for them) that advertise products on this forum in the correct light. : For those have been around a while you will remember my Z logo patches....then the T-Top bags. I sold hundreds of patches and dozens and dozens of T-Top bags. Then came the boots and now full interiors. : Now becuase I own, love and drive a Z....im not here to put out junk into the marketplace. My wife Amy and I have alot of pride in what we do and the products we sell. The initial T-Top nags were produced at home with an expensive sewing machine....all hand sewn after a long day at work. She did the sewing....I did the sales and order taking. By the time we came up with the boots....we were in pretty deep. Sewing and taking orders EVERYDAY....10 emials a day quickly excelated into the 50 ish range. We both work full time so....you can imagine...this is not easy. But its worth it. Its worth it when you get an email of praise or a post of pics and happy customers. Its even worth it when you make a mistake and drop the ball occasionally. Its all worth it....becuase I deliver awesome products to awesome people. PERIOD. : Now Im in to Group Buys, NOS, turbos, interiors all while working a full day at work. : My business has grown far above what I had expected....and having been in business in the past (on a much larger scale) I appreciate every day of it. : I have included SEEDY's post from below.....as he has said some very relavent things that I feel needed to be expressed. : Remember there are many of here selling various products.....very few of us operate a multi-million dollar operation. While I at least try VERY hard to please everyone....not everyone will be please 100% of the time. It doesn't work that way. : I have many things in the pipe coming out....lots of awesome stuff...so get ready but be patient with me...and all of us here. Im making some side money YES.....but im in this for the gradification of knowing I help Z'ers with new and exciting products. : While I too feel it is important to warn those on the forum about people selling items that dont fullfill thier obligations....its also important to realize and excersise you email skills and best judgement. In my case....I have had supplier problems and QC issues that have at times put me WEEKS back of shipping orders. I plug along and do my best. I also do a poor job of letting people know WHY there items are delayed...if and when they are. Im a firm beleiver that my problems are not my customers so I tend to bear that burden. I also know it pays to keep people informed....and at time that has slipped. We all make mistakes. But the botum line is....I sell QUALITY products and have not had ONE returned item due to dis-satisfaction. I also have made MANY improvements to my products over the course of the last year. I strive for perfection and quality. : Now knowing my communication skills could stand some improvement....I thought i would end this with a big THANK YOU TO ALL forum members and ALL of my customers. Including SPIRTJAZ. : Be kind to one another when making posts guys and gals....and save the bashing for email...and the chat room LOL. : Seedy wrote: : Jack, you're a friend of mine and so is Steamy, so this is not slanted to either of you based on that, just on the way it is. What I can tell you is that Steve is INSANE when it comes to the stuff he strives for and acheives. I can't believe some of the ideas he comes up with and how he makes them work. What most people don't know is that early on he and Amy made ALL the boots themselves. With hundreds of orders, his other 3 or 4 products, etc everyone here knew there was some time and communications issues with him. I've watched his products start from DAY ONE (I more or less inspired a few of them and was test mule on them too). What we thought was a few sets to a few people went to a JAMMED email account, a website that was shutdown because he had too many hits and a supplier or two who couldn't continue to go on. Growing pains all over!! While you are TOTALLY right about aspects of doing business, I think you missed a LOT by not being a heavy user of TT.net (at least I don't think you still are) and seeing all of these hardships, which he has let people know about for the most part.
: Whereas the person on the outside sees this as just another business, most of us see it as a Z owner who stumbled on a few ideas, made a few of them work for his friends and then decided to hook up the rest of the forum. Because he's a salesman for a living, a damn good one from what I've seen, he makes it seem like his whole operation is a well oiled machine and that he has dozens of people working to fill orders, manage it, and send off product. But he doesn't...maybe he's too good LOL. I figure that he probably does need to work on his communication (as he said) to avoid something like this again (which I KNOW was not intentional...). But I just hope you understand that while it went bad, he didn't mean it.
